2015-2019 Growth and Expansion
In the Spring we made presentations at Terra Bella, California on the history of Sabbath keeping during the middle ages entitled, "Truth in the Dark," and two presentations on "The Emerging Church" and "The Merging Church", a history of Spiritual Formation and the Ecumenical Movement.
While there we encountered Danny Vierra and signed up for his Lifestyle Training program. Returning back home we began planning to build our own center on the TRSC property.
That Summer we joined Adrian in a European tour of various groups in Serbia, Romania, and Germany. It was a real blessing to meet, eat, fellowship, and worship with so many, ending with the large group in Germany. Books were being translated and printed in each country. By the time we returned, Eden Pointe's building was well on its way to completion. In the fall, we made a trip to Oregon to visit Alex Ortega. What a story and encouragement we were to each other.
The following year, Carolyn and Gary returned to conduct a series of health lectures at an old castle in northern Germany advertised as FreiZeit, "Fit for Life." The friendships developed there were very precious. Back home we started conducting our own "Health Camps" which grew rapidly in attendance and were conducted every month at first, then every other month. We also visited the newly built Ashland Sabbath Chapel that year and celebrated their new church building's dedication.
The school in the meantime had dropped enrollment and was finally closed.
2017 Adrian conducted the Evangelism Training School with visitors coming from around the United States, Australia, Germany, Puerto Rico. Later that year camp meetings also drew visitors from surrounding states: Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, Colorado.
2018 Supported the building of a new church in Mississippi. Met a new group gathering in a Hotel conference room in Texas after seeing them at the AdAgra meetings there. The Theos video series was released. Visited a new group in Arkansas and presented at their camp meeting. Later returned and help them with their sound system, video recording, and cell phone signal amplifier.
2019 Carolyn, in what we thought was perfect health, was diagnosed April 15 with a rare bladder sarcoma. Biopsies, surgery to removed the cancer, re-implanting the ureter was complicated with blood loss, multiple re-admissions, and, finally after weeks in ICU, discharged home to hospice. She died peacefully with all her family gathered at home on the 4th of July. The loss left a tremendous hole in the life of the Chapel, Eden Pointe, and
especially Gary. Finally in September, his brother and wife invited him to join them on a trip to Sweden in search of their great-grandfather's birthplace.
